Our weekend stay was amazing! The private baths were so relaxing, we booked them both days free of charge. We also enjoyed the local hiking and pony riding. What we liked best was the American lodge-style decoration in the hotel, it added a unique character that made us feel warm and cozy.
The rooms are a bit small, which is expected in Japan, and it was hard to carry our heavy luggage up the stairs. Additionally, it took us some time to find the hotel since there were no English signs outside or in the surrounding area. we would still highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a peaceful and scenic getaway with friendly and helpful staff.

The location of the hotel was great, with easy access to nearby attractions. the staff were attentive and accommodating, providing excellent service throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed the Christmas decorations in the lobby, which added to the festive atmosphere.
Our room was not as comfortable as we had hoped. the bed was quite firm, making it difficult to get a good night's rest.

We loved the lodge's friendly and helpful staff, who accommodated us even when we wanted to use the kitchen and dining room. The private indoor onsen for families was fantastic, and we were able to reserve it easily. The decor of this place, with black records on the wall, created a cozy atmosphere. The hot water in the onsen was great after a long hike. The adjacent Keith Haring gallery was an amazing experience, and the hotel's location is a bit off the tourist circuit.
No negatives.
